I am a British freelance photographer based in the South of France, close to Nice. I regularly photograph stories and portraits for my clients, who include the New York Times, the FT Weekend magazine, Norwegian Air and American Express. Alongside editorial and corporate commissions, I photograph a select number of weddings for couples who want a genuine photojournalistic reportage of their day.
As an editorial photographer, I document people and their stories – without getting involved. Throughout a wedding, I work unobtrusively to quietly capture each moment; from the tension, quiet contemplation or boisterous fun that might mark a préparatif, the emotions expressed by the couple, family or friends during the ceremony, right up to the evening energy of the dance floor. My role is to create a beautiful story with images that are rich, spontaneous and alive. It is a privilege to photograph the intense feelings and moments that make up a wedding, and to know that the document I create may be treasured for years to come.
